Refund Policy

Summary
Your payment is held in escrow until you confirm delivery. If a part is not as described, significantly damaged, or not delivered — you are entitled to a full or partial refund. Raise a dispute within 48 hours of receiving (or not receiving) your order.
When You Are Entitled to a Refund
You may request a refund if:
- The part you received is significantly different from the listing description
- The part arrived with undisclosed damage
- The part does not match the vehicle compatibility stated in the listing
- The seller failed to ship within 7 days and cannot provide a delivery timeline
- You did not receive the order at all
Refunds are not available if:
- You changed your mind after purchasing
- The part does not fit due to a vehicle modification not mentioned in your query
- You confirmed delivery before inspecting the part
- The dispute is raised more than 48 hours after delivery
How to Request a Refund
Step 1: Contact the seller directly through the Platform messaging system and explain the issue.
Step 2: If the seller does not resolve within 24 hours, go to your Orders page and click Open Dispute.
Step 3: Our admin team will review the dispute within 2 business days. You may be asked to provide:
- Photos of the part received
- Photos of the packaging
- Description of the mismatch
Step 4: We will issue a decision and process any refund within 3 business days of resolution.
Refund Amounts
Depending on the outcome of the dispute:
- Full refund: issued if the part is significantly wrong or was never delivered
- Partial refund: issued if there is minor cosmetic damage not material to function
- No refund: if the part matches the description and the claim is unsubstantiated
Refunds are returned to the M-Pesa number used to make the original payment. Processing time is 1-3 business days after decision.
Return of Parts
For full refunds, the seller may request the part be returned before funds are released:
- The seller covers return shipping costs if the error was on their side
- The buyer covers return shipping if the dispute is found in the seller's favour
- Parts must be returned in the condition received
If a seller requests a return but the buyer refuses without cause, we reserve the right to deny the refund.
Seller Payouts and Refunds
Sellers receive their payout only after:
- The buyer confirms delivery, or
- 7 days have passed since confirmed delivery with no dispute raised
If a refund is approved after a seller has been paid (in exceptional cases), the amount is deducted from future payouts.
Counterfeit and Dangerous Parts
If you believe a seller supplied counterfeit, dangerous, or stolen parts, contact us immediately at: safety@dailydrivesourcing.com
The seller account will be suspended pending investigation. A full refund will be issued in all confirmed cases of counterfeit goods.
